Jurupa Unified School District had distinct goals for Ina Arbuckle Elementary School to bridge achievement gaps, provide enhanced safety and security, and create a new, vibrant learning environment. To meet these goals, we re-designed classrooms to evolve into 360 degrees of project-based learning. The library, initially housed in a small portable at the margin of the campus, was moved to a permanent building at the front of the school, re-imagining it as a state of the art media center with space for reading, technology, creativity, and play. This modernization reimagined Ina’s campus as a colorful and lively environment while providing upgraded security features. Its welcoming new identity further sustains community trust and includes a new kindergarten wing and a transformed administration building.
